Cheese & Dairy at the Kangaroo Valley Show 2024

Valley Cheesemakers is all about sharing our love of cheese and showing others how easy it is to make your own cheese at home.

We encourage entries at the annual Kangaroo Valley Show where we have an open judging process, so you get to see all of the products made by other amateur cheesemakers, and hear what makes each cheese so different.

Our regular cheese judge is unable to join us in 2024; however we have the amazing Cressida Cains from Pecora Dairy joining us as our guest judge. Given that Cressida and her husband Michael run a 200-acre sheep farm in Robertson, and produce award-winning sheep milk cheeses, we can safely say that we are honoured to have Cressida join us to give her feedback.

So, whether you are just starting out or have been making your own cheese and dairy products for a while, we want your entries so we can impress Cressida with the wide range of products produced in and around Kangaroo Valley.

Judging will take place on Saturday 17 February 2024 from 9am in the Kangaroo Valley Hall.

Cheese and Wine Tasting

Our regular Cheese and Wine Tasting event will be a little different in 2024. We are going to pit Australian cheeses against cheeses from around the world – and it will be very interesting to see which wines will be matched with each cheese.

Tickets will go on sale in mid December 2023, and the event was sold out within weeks for our previous Show event, so we recommend getting your tickets fast – maybe even as a Christmas gift.

We couldn’t provide this event without the ongoing support from John and Linley at Flavours Shoalhaven who provide our cheeses, and Jeff at Kangaroo Valley Fine Wines & Craft Ales.
