The current Kangaroo Valley Community Consultative Body (KVCCB) geographic area covers Kangaroo Valley (part thereof), Barrengarry, Upper Kangaroo River and Moollattoo (part thereof).
At the General Meeting of the KVCCB held on Tuesday 28 March, a motion was moved to seek to expand the geographical area to that originally proposed in March 2021, prior to the formalisation of the current KVCCB. The motion was carried unanimously by those present.
The new area proposed expands the KVCCB’s geographic land area eastward to meet Berry’s CCB (Berry Forum) and south to the pinnacle of Moss Vale Road to encompass Red Rocks and Beaumont (up to the Berry Forum boundary).
It is noted that the geographic area expansion does not encroach on any area currently covered under any other CCB.
We are seeking feedback from the community, both those within the current KVCCB membership, and from the proposed area expansion. Please send any comments to kvccb@kangaroovalley.nsw.au by Friday 19 May.
A report will be tabled at the next KVCCB meeting to be held on Tuesday 30 May 2023 (KV Hall 6.30pm), and a motion to approve or reject the widening of area covered by the KVCCB will be formalised.
A combined, cohesive CCB covering all geographic areas not currently within a CCB does not mean that individual community groups which currently exist will close. The KVCCB would be an adjunct and provide an extra voice, formally recognised by Council.
For those who currently fall within the KVCCB ambit, and do not receive KVCCB emails, and if you wish to be placed on the register and receive direct emails from the KVCCB, then send us an email to kvccb@kangaroovalley.nsw.au with your name, physical address, mobile (landline if no mobile) and email contact, and we will update our database.
