Golf

This time last year, all we had was “Rain, Rain, and more Rain“, as noted in our report, and the Golf club had no play for over five weeks. I’m please to say we have had some wonderful days to play golf.

Saturday 18 March was our Stableford round, with a good number of competitors. Congratulations to Phil Gane, winning with a great round of 41 points, followed by Stephen Atkins with 35 points and Ian Thomas with 34 points.

Saturday 25 March was our Stroke and Medal round. With a good number of members, congratulations to Ian Thomas, with a score of 72 and winning the Medal round, followed by George Tarbey with 73 and Gordon Thomson with 76. Saturday.

1 April was our Stableford round. Well done to Ian Thomas with 31 points, followed by Eric Felipe with 30 points and Allan Harvey with 28 points.

Starting on Saturday 8 April, we again had a good number of members and visitors for the Easter long weekend. The Stableford round was won by Jayden Prinsloo, a visitor of Long Reef GC, with a convincing 36 points, followed by Chris Gane with 34 points and Andre Prinsloo of Long Reef GC with 33 points. The weekend also had the ‘Best of two rounds’, won by Sam Hutchinson with 68 points, followed by Chris Gane with 52 points.

Saturday 15 April was our Par round. Congratulations to Suzanne Greer, winning with +2, followed by Ian Thomas with -2, beating David Purll on a count back. Happy golfing everyone, stay safe and until next time…
