Lest We Forget

ANZAC Day – Tuesday 25 April 2023

Kangaroo Valley Commemorations

In respect to our fallen heroes, Moss Vale Road will be temporarily closed to traffic on either side of the war memorial, from 9am to 12 noon, for the Kangaroo Valley ANZAC Day 2023 service.

Roads & Maritime Services signs will be placed on Moss Vale Road, one on the northern side of Hampden Bridge and another at Barfield Road, Cambewarra to advise motorists of this temporary road closure.

There will be a short parade, commencing at the Village Green Nursery car park, for those who wish to participate. Seats for veterans and seniors will be placed in front of the cenotaph. You may bring your own seat.

If anyone would like to lay a wreath for the ceremony, please private message Gayle Harvey by Thursday 20 April. Wreaths will need to be booked in at the cenotaph on ANZAC Day between 8.30 and 9.30am, labelled with details of the memorial or the club/school. Your names will be called during the wreath laying ceremony.

Programs will be handed out before the main ceremony, which will commence at 10am and follow the usual procedure. We are hoping for a flyover from HARS and maybe the RAAF.

The Lions Club will hold a sausage sizzle at 11.30am after the ceremony. All donations are accepted in cash please.

For any enquiries, please phone Joan Bray on 0401 215 595, Captain Tony Aldred on 0428 169 326 or Simon Harrington on 0418 280 110.
