GOLDEN GUITAR WINNER IN TOWN

ARIA + 8x Golden Guitar artist Fanny Lumsden’s is celebrating 10 years of her Country Halls Tour. The very first show of the 10 year anniversary tour will be right here in Kangaroo Valley at the hall on April 22nd.

The tour had humble beginnings in three halls in the Riverina in 2012 raising money for Blazeaid. Since then it has gone from strength to strength with Fanny and her small team performing in more than 200 halls all over Australia, raising funds for communities with their all-in-community-night-out.

“I can’t believe that those three halls in 2012 have turned into 10 years and over 200 halls all over the country. As an application based tour, where the halls apply to host” Fanny explains,

“I am blown away every year by the sheer number of halls who apply to host original live music”

Fanny Lumsden, released her third studio album, Fallow in 2020. It debuted at #10 on the ARIA charts, going to #1 on the Country ARIA charts for two consecutive weeks, took out Best Country Album at the 2020 ARIA Awards, and swept the field taking home five CMAA Golden Guitar Awards including Album of the Year, Female Artist of the Year, Single of the Year, Video Clip of the Year and Alt Country Album of the Year.

Fanny has appeared on Rockwiz, Play School Showtime and ABC’s The Set with You Am I. She is a Support Act advocate, a volunteer firefighter, she wrote and produced a documentary telling the story of Fallow through the summer of bushfires and managed to pull off a sold out theatre tour across Australia in the wake of the first wave of the pandemic.

Fanny has toured with the likes of Paul Kelly, Kasey Chambers and more. She has headlined multiple sold out theatre tours, played AmericanaFest in Nashville, and su ccessfully undertaken 8 Country Halls tours.

Fanny is a force and is changing up how things are done in music in Australia. Two of our local talented young performers Elise Moffat and Annabelle Little will be sharing the stage with Fanny playin support for the show on April 22nd.

You can purchase tickets from countryhalltour.com or buy a ticket on the night.
