Berry Small Farm Field Days: Bigger and better than ever

The 9th Berry Small Farm Field Days will be held once again at the Berry Showground, on Friday and Saturday, 9 and 10 September, after two years of cancellations due to Covid.

The Millpaca Livestock Pavilion features a large variety of farm animals, which have always been a big hit with the kids, as will the heavy horses and Gary Nelson’s brahman bulls Charlie and Harlie.

The garden section is another highlight, comprising a variety of stalls where people can wander around and view garden sculptures, native plants and trees, potted plants and a wide variety of garden tools for sale.

Paul Andersen, a member of the Rotary Club of Berry and Event Organiser, said everyone was looking forward to getting out once again. “After a couple of quiet years business owners are keen to display their products to the public, with many exhibitors booking larger sites this time around. Patrons will be assured of seeing the latest farming equipment, machinery and supplies, as well as everything you could want for your small farm or backyard garden.”

The Berry Vet Talk Tent will host several interesting talks and demonstrations, including John Gabriele from The Compost Heap, the Berry Vets and more. We are also hoping to have a special demonstration by one of Britain’s first female farriers, Helena Tomsett of hot-shoeing a horse.

The Berry Small Farm Field Days is one of the major fundraisers for the Rotary Club of Berry, with proceeds going toward local and international community projects, and we thank all our sponsors.
