{"id":2402,"date":"2023-05-31T10:01:18","date_gmt":"2023-05-31T10:01:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kangaroovalley.nsw.au\/valleyvoice\/?p=2402"},"modified":"2023-05-31T10:01:18","modified_gmt":"2023-05-31T10:01:18","slug":"a-record-month-for-our-museum","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kangaroovalley.nsw.au\/valleyvoice\/2023\/05\/31\/a-record-month-for-our-museum\/","title":{"rendered":"A record month for our museum"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In the first four months of this year no fewer than 2,797 people, of all ages, visited the Kangaroo Valley Pioneer Village Museum, with 926 in April outnumbering the previous record of 906 in January.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">School visits resumed in May, with a visit by 45 students from a Southern Highlands school prompting this post on social media:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cToday Year 3 and 4 went on an excursion to the Pioneer Village Museum in Kangaroo Valley. They had lots of wonderful and exciting adventures doing things such as visiting the old school house, looking at the old farm machinery, the dairy, discovering the forge where horse shoes were made, exploring the museum, walking across the suspension bridge, looking at how people lived in the old cottage and various items at the park such as The Selby Rock &#8211; a rock comprised entirely of fossils and is estimated to be more than 200 million years old!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cThe weather was gorgeous and they all had a great day.
