The preschool Annual General Meeting was held on Monday 28 March, when the 2022 executive committee was elected: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

President – Todd Cremer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vice President \u2013 Natalie Harker<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Treasurer \u2013 Mickey Kovari<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Secretary \u2013 Heidi Smart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Committee members \u2013 Brad Hawthorne, Tuneil Mackechnie, Julie MacIntosh and Sally Vidler.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thank you to these generous people for volunteering their time and talents to govern the preschool.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There has been festive excitement at the preschool \u2013 the Easter Bunny has not been daunted by bad weather and road closures and has delivered some yummy treats to the children. Beautiful baskets were created and, when the glue was drying, the Bunny put chocolate eggs in them and hid them around the playground!\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The children have been looking after some tadpoles. Mother frog laid some eggs in a puddle at Jacinta\u2019s house. The puddle was drying up so she rescued the tadpoles and brought some in to preschool. The children have been observing and drawing the tadpoles. We have enjoyed lots of frog and tadpole stories and songs and even made a frog puppet show. We hope to observe the tadpoles get bigger and grow legs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are still limited places at preschool available for three to five year olds. We are pleased to be able to minimise fees at present due to the \u2018Start Strong\u2019 funding we are receiving from the State Government. We can offer 15 hours per week of free preschool for children in this age range. The median cost for three days – 18 \u00be hours of preschool per week – is $47.
