{"id":2292,"date":"2023-05-05T01:20:48","date_gmt":"2023-05-05T01:20:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kangaroovalley.nsw.au\/valleyvoice\/?p=2292"},"modified":"2023-05-05T01:20:48","modified_gmt":"2023-05-05T01:20:48","slug":"proposed-expansion-of-the-geographic-area-of-the-kvccb","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kangaroovalley.nsw.au\/valleyvoice\/2023\/05\/05\/proposed-expansion-of-the-geographic-area-of-the-kvccb\/","title":{"rendered":"Proposed expansion of the geographic area of the KVCCB"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The current Kangaroo Valley Community Consultative Body (KVCCB) geographic area covers Kangaroo Valley (part thereof), Barrengarry, Upper Kangaroo River and Moollattoo (part thereof).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At the General Meeting of the KVCCB held on Tuesday 28 March, a motion was moved to seek to expand the geographical area to that originally proposed in March 2021, prior to the formalisation of the current KVCCB. The motion was carried unanimously by those present.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The new area proposed expands the KVCCB\u2019s geographic land area eastward to meet Berry\u2019s CCB (Berry Forum) and south to the pinnacle of Moss Vale Road to encompass <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Red Rocks and Beaumont (up to the Berry Forum boundary).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/maps\/d\/viewer?mid=1rkN8H8xtIzvMxFAMJKOFt0Cz1eOzX7Y&amp;ll=-34.75669916402715,150.45565211621093&amp;z=10\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">https:\/\/www.google.com\/maps\/d\/viewer?mid=1rkN8H8xtIzvMxFAMJKOFt0Cz1eOzX7Y&amp;ll=-34.75669916402715%2C150.45565211621093&amp;z=10<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is noted that the geographic area expansion does not encroach on any area currently covered under any other CCB.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We are seeking feedback from the community, both those within the current KVCCB membership, and from the proposed area expansion. Please send any comments to <\/span><a href=\"mailto:kvccb@kangaroovalley.nsw.au\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">kvccb@kangaroovalley.nsw.au<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> by Friday 19 May.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A report will be tabled at the next KVCCB meeting to be held on Tuesday 30 May 2023 (KV Hall 6.30pm), and a motion to approve or reject the widening of area covered by the KVCCB will be formalised.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A combined, cohesive CCB covering all geographic areas not currently within a CCB does not mean that individual community groups which currently exist will close.
