Preschool News

Congratulations to all the lucky winners of our Mother’s Day Raffle: Linda Vella, Lisa Grant, Noah Cremer, Yvette Larkin, Tuneil Mackechnie and the Kovari Family.

Thanks to everyone who supported the preschool raffle by donating gifts and purchasing tickets. The raffle raised over $500 for the preschool.

The children made beautiful bangles for their Mums for Mother’s Day. They lovingly painted cardboard templates with glistening paint, then chose special rhinestones to add some extra sparkle. Gift bags were decorated and cards signed with lots of kisses. – the excitement was electric!

We have even spotted a few Mums wearing these beautiful gifts since the big day.

(Thank you to Katrina for collecting the post office cardboard tape rolls for the project.)

Marilyn Price-Mitchell PhD explains that gift giving helps children develop empathy. Giving meaningful gifts helps them think about what someone else would like. Gift giving shows you care, and helps build kindness and positive relationships. Gift giving also develops wellbeing.

Gifts do not have to be big and expensive – they just need to be given with love. A hug, a card, or a drawing can be priceless.

Enjoy gifts in all their guises.
