Telstra have advised that their recent application to include Kangaroo Valley in the Federal Government’s Mobile Black Spot Program’s ‘Improving Mobile Coverage Round’ of funding has been successful. We are back on the list for a new mobile phone tower, should we want it.
The area to be addressed this time is around Barrengarry and/or Upper Kangaroo River. Now the hard work begins, finding a suitable location for the tower. If you are interested in initiating discussions with Telstra on the possibility of hosting a mobile phone tower on your property, please drop us an email at kvccb@kangaroovalley.nsw.au and we can put you in touch with them. Please also get in touch if you are interested but fall outside the Barrengarry/Upper Kangaroo River area, as the location is not ‘set in stone’. If we are again unable to find a location for a new tower, this option will disappear and we will be stuck with the reception we currently receive. Hopefully this won’t be the case.
