The Romantics in KV

Barrengarry House will once again open the gates to visitors for a concert series in November. On Saturday 19 November enjoy a concert soiree of Brahms, Schumann and Strauss with champagne and canapés in the Barrengarry House gardens. If you are more of a morning person, you can attend the morning coffee concert on Sunday 20 November with refreshments on the veranda.

‘The Romantics’ concert is a rare chance to enjoy some of Australia’s finest solo and chamber artistes in an informal and intimate setting. Soprano Lorina Gore returns to Kangaroo Valley after a series of performances with the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra and Opera Queensland. Bridget Crouch, whose performance career spans across many continents, will perform this time much closer to home as violinist and host the Barrengarry House concerts. Also performing is pianist Nicholas Routley, founder of the Sydney Chamber Choir and previous conductor of several orchestras in Australia and East Asia.

The concert program will include, with interval, Brahms Sonata for Violin and Piano in G Major, Schumann song cycle ‘Frauen-liebe und Leben’ complete and Strauss ‘Morgen’ (Violin/Soprano and Piano version).

Tickets are very limited. Book yours via our website or join the waiting list for further ticket releases at barrengarryhouse.com.
