The history of Kangaroo Valley, both past and present, needs to be preserved.

To ensure longevity of Kangaroo Valley history we are seeking part-time members (known as associate members). Your role would be a focused project, of your choice, assisting in the preservation of the history of Kangaroo Valley and approved by the Kangaroo Valley Historical Society. This may be arranged long-distance, if appropriate, for those who do not live full-time in the Valley.

Some possible projects might include historical data collection and reporting on an interest of yours, such as the history of – dairying in the Valley, architecture, art, schooling, etc ; learning about and conservation of objects; preservation and record keeping of photos, documents, media; historical interviews; assistance with development of our conservation building; family history research, etc.

If you would like any further information, please contact Christine Murphy on chrismurphy1952@gmail.com or Peter Dumbrell on history@kangaroovalleymuseum.com. Alternatively, you would be welcome to make enquires at any of our monthly meetings, on the second Tuesday of the month, at 10am at the Pioneer Village Museum.
