Lions would like to acknowledge the excellent service that Jacqualine Lenz has provided for more than 30 years to the Osborne Park Management Committee. Circumstances have changed, which means that Jacqualine was left with the tough decision to step down. We thank her for her service and know that she will be sadly missed.
Norm Fountain, who is our current District Governor, visited our club and while here we had him present awards to two of our long-standing members. Majorie Wilkie and Rob Griffiths can be seen here receiving their awards from Norm. I can be seen exchanging our Banner with Norm.
Lions Clubs undertake projects to improve the quality of air, water and land as well as protect and preserve local flora and fauna. As Lions, we are committed to caring for local environments. If you have any ideas or know of any activities within the valley that we could help, please reach out to any of us.
At the end of October your club will send representatives to the district convention in Liverpool. The convention is an opportunity for members to catch up, and after the long break forced by Covid this will be the first time for a couple of years. Likewise your local club is getting back to normal and hopefully less restricted in the new world. The new International President has adopted the slogan of ‘Together we Can’. As a community Kangaroo Valley has proven multiple times that we can.
Until next time.
