Kangaroo Valley Voice

Lion’s Roar

We are a little late but Anzac Day was after the Voice deadline last month. The end of April is always a busy month for your local club, with feeding all at the ANZAC Day ceremony. This is a special day for us, and we are proud to support the great team on the organising committee who just make ANZAC Day special each year for us in Kangaroo Valley.

Your club would like to acknowledge the support that local businesses provide to us each year, and in particular we would like to call out Bakers Delight Nowra Mall who look after us. The tasty sausages from Nowra Fresh are really well received and so good that you don’t feel guilty for having a second one.

Following the devastating floods to the North of the State, Lions around Australia have raised almost $900,000 to help residents with essential needs, vouchers, clothing, personal needs and cleaning products. Of course this will continue for some months and Lions will ensure that all money raised is used where it is needed most.

At this time the local club has suspended all driver reviver activities until we once again get through traffic.

A reminder that we are still keen to receive those old spectacles so they can be graded and then shared with those less fortunate. We are continuing to collect used stamps and they can be left in one of the spectacle boxes around town.

Until next time.
