VIEW Club

Kangaroo Valley VIEW Club was able to meet together again in April in spite of continuing COVID infections, badly damaged roads and torrential rain. Twelve of our members who were able to avoid the damaged roads met together at Maddisons for a meeting and lunch together. We were all very happy to see those who could come and look forward to more of our members being able to attend our next meeting in May.

A big thank you to Michael at Maddisons for accommodating us and making us feel welcome. We all enjoyed our meals which we ordered individually.

Gayle Rudd, our new Secretary in waiting, managed the meeting and we thank her for her efforts for co-ordinating this meeting and making the arrangements for us to get together.

Current President Penny and current Treasurer Deb Folkard managed to find their way from Wattamolla Road with some difficulty.

Gayle will be contacting all members about the next meeting’s arrangements. Her mobile phone number is 0405 315 950

VIEW (Voice, Interests and Education of Women) is a leading women’s organisation with close to 300 clubs across Australia, all dedicated to supporting children in need with their education through The Smith Family. Members do this through community fundraising, spreading awareness, and volunteering.

National volunteer week is from 16 to 22 May.

One of the key themes for National Volunteer Week this year is about bringing people together through volunteering, which is now more important than ever before. after being kept apart due to the pandemic.
