Golf

As noted in last month’s report, “then came the rain”. For this month’s report, Kangaroo Valley Golf club has not had a Saturday competition played for the last five weeks, with the course being closed or limited holes open, due to the wet weather.

Over the Easter week end, with the sun shining, the course again had limited holes open, with no competition played. A couple of members had a round, but found the course very difficult, still being so wet under foot and, with the grass unable to be cut on some holes, they were losing golf balls in the middle of the fairways. Let’s hope for some more sunshine in the coming weeks to help our green keepers and bring our great course back for all of us to enjoy.

Happy golfing everyone, stay safe and until next time…

“A hole in one is amazing when you think of the different universes this white mass of molecules has to pass through on its way to the hole” [Mac O’Grady].
