Youth of the Year Quest - it’s on again
19 Sep 09
Lions Youth of the Year Quest aims to select an outstanding young individual to be an Australian ambassador with the opportunity to travel overseas under the auspices of Lions Clubs International.
Through all levels of participation, the Quest seeks to assist secondary school students in developing citizenship and leadership qualities as they prepare for entry to the workforce or high education.
Participants in the Quest will gain valuable personal rewards through the friendships they make and the unique opportunity they have to voice opinions and passions that affect the communities in which we live.
Competition in the Quest starts at Club level and successful participants will progress through to regional, district and state finals. The NSW winner will be invited to attend the national final in May 2010, and will participate in a tour of Australia visiting the major capital cities and many of our nation's attractions.
The national winner will travel overseas as a Lions Youth of the Year Quest Australian ambassador to the International Youth Camp. Prizes are awarded at each level of competition throughout the Quest.
