Valley's new Doctor is on the case
1 Feb 11
Dr Jeanette Keir MB BS commenced her Kangaroo Valley practice on January 31 and will be available in the Valley for four days each week.
Jeanette Keir studied medicine at the University of N.S.W. and early on in her career completed a term at Bega hospital and has wanted to live and work in the country ever since!
She graduated in 1982 and initially worked at Port Kembla, Wollongong and Bulli hospitals before spending several years at Sutherland hospital.
Jeanette has worked as a GP since 1986.
She ran a solo practice until 1995, when a young family meant more flexibility was needed.
Since then she has worked in larger general practices in Sydney and in the last three years has also been doing rural locums.
Jeanette’s aim is to care for all areas of her patients health and she is especially committed to preventative health.
“My particular interests include children and womens health, ante-natal care and chronic disease management” says the new Doctor.
“I am a vocationally registered GP which means I am committed to ongoing training” she concluded.
So a big welcome to Doctor Keir.
