Sustainable Tourism award for the Valley

“A big thank you” to all the community groups that helped make Kangaroo Valley internationally recognised this year.
The Kangaroo Valley Tourist Association acknowledged the KV Environment Group, KV Community Association, KV Historic Society and support from Joan Bray and John Rowntree at its Christmas Dinner.
The meeting was also attended by Mayor Paul Green, Shoalhaven Tourism Board vice chair Councillor John Ferguson and National Parks and Wildlife Service representatives.
“Tourist destinations are not owned by tourism operators but involve everyone in the community and protect lands.
We thank everyone in helping make Kangaroo Valley the extra special place it is,” said
Chris Warren president of the KVTA.
Kangaroo Valley received a Highly Commended award in the Best Destination category at the world Responsible Tourism Awards.
