Dear Prime Minister,
I offer you my congratulations on your re-appointment as Prime Minister and look forward to the delivery of improved outcomes to Gilmore as has been promised.
The purpose of my writing is to inform you of a number of projects that have been identified as vital for the commercial and social welfare of this electorate.
These include;
- $2.6 million for Shoalhaven Headspace Site
- $1 million for Kiama Harbour Upgrades
- $35 million for Cancer Care Centre equipped with linear accelerator
- $20 million for Princes Highway upgrade south of Ulladulla
- $10 million for Shellharbour Boat Harbour/Marina
- $1 million for CCTV cameras

- $1 million for the Southern Shoalhaven Boat Harbour feasibility study
- $1.5 million for Shoalhaven Basketball Stadium upgrades

Following discussions with pertinent local groups and authorities, these are projects that were considered worthy of immediate funding and supported by the community.
As such I would ask that serious consideration be extended to funding the projects through the $800 million Priority Regional Infrastructure Program.
To further this request, I would be honoured if you would visit the region to discuss how the government can assist us through the delivery of this funding.
I would be happy to meet with you to have these proposals explained and to bring with me local officials who have detailed knowledge of the implications of each project and their potential impact on our community.
Thank you for your consideration of this request.
Kind regards,
Joanna Gash MP (Mrs)
Federal Member for Gilmore
Shadow Parliamentary Secretary for Tourism
