Community contribution from Glengarry boys
1 Oct 10
On Saturday 18th September Hope and Angus Kennedy were most fortunate in enjoying the assistance of 20 Glengarry boys carrying out their community service.
Other groups were occupied at the Anglican and Catholic churches and the Pioneer Farm Museum.
The team arrived after lunch and set to with enthusiam carrying suitably sawn logs up the hill.
Among other tasks they 'pruned' a lemon tree under Hope's watchful eye and removed the cuttings, moved many barrow loads of soil to a new garden being costructed, raked leaves and cleaned gutters.
At the conclusion they rapidly consumed cans of 'coke' and made very short work of a large bowl of biscuits.
Many thanks Glengarry and the boys and staff concerned.
