A & H Society big plans for 2012
1 Jun 11
The A& H Society are a great group of super enthusiastic people who work together and have lots of fun planning and implementing new ways to make our treasured “Kangaroo Valley Show” better and better each year.
The Show is a great way of honouring and show-casing the hard work and passion of our local farmers, as well as offering an opportunity for all of us to participate in the many and varied displays and competitions that reflect our diverse skills and interests.
It’s a fantastic chance to come together as a rural community and enjoy all the best of who we are.
Young kids wait all year for it, older kids come home and bring their city friends along with pride.
People of all ages busy themselves preparing their exhibits and immerse themselves in all the action and excitement.
Friends catch up over a drink and we all soak up the beauty of surely one of the world’s most beautiful show grounds as the sun sets.
Yes, it’s a very rosy picture, but I think an accurate one!
Certainly one we value very highly.
If you would like to be part of the great team that makes the Show happen come along and join us on the 27/6/2011.
There are many small support roles to play that can give you a taste for this rewarding work without being too much of a commitment! To whet your appetite for “Show’ matters please read the stories and photos included on pages 28 and 29 of this issue of the Voice, about some of the 2011 competitors and their successes – enjoy!
The photos are courtesy of the wonderful photographer, local lady Sue Williamson, who has worked tirelessly at the last two Shows to capture the atmosphere and action!
