"A few good men" was challenging theatre
1 Nov 10
The choice of “A few good men” as the touring production by Northolm College from Sydney’s northwest, was eminently justified, judged by the attendance of an appreciably large audience and the enthusiastic performances from cast and crew.
This is a challenging play (especially for teenage actors) because of the depth of emotional conviction required, the complexity and volume of the wordy script and the large number of scene changes, exits and entrances.
The entire production rose to meet the challenge and carried off the task with a verve and consistency that was a clear credit to them and the producer (teacher Brad Turbott).
The audience at the Hall were generous and spontaneous in the fullsome applause offered in appreciation of the students achievement.
So much so, that the school is planning to repeat the exercise next year.
