Shoalhaven City will celebrate Youth Week 2011 with movies, freebies, writing, laser skirmishes and bouncy boxing from 1 to 10 April, with the big bang in Ulladulla’s Civic Centre grounds on Saturday 9 April.
Shoalhaven City Mayor Councillor Paul Green said Youth Week is a celebration, a skirmish, a bounce, a skate, and a lot of other activities that will keep many people interested during the week.
“We have to recognise that youth activities can be fast, loud and great fun,” Clr Green said. “We are happy to work with an adventurous and energetic Youth Advisory Committee to celebrate this year’s Youth Week with a number of great events.”
Youth Week starts in Nowra with a movie and pizza night at the Nowra Youth Centre from 5pm to 8pm on Friday 1 April. It will culminate on Saturday 9 April with the Own It event at the Ulladulla Civic Centre Grounds from 10am to 4pm. All Youth Week events are alcohol and drug free events.
