The 2011 Show promises to be, yet again, a wonderful event for the whole family – a great opportunity to showcase our fantastic talents, skills and produce and to engage in the fun of some friendly rivalry!
Speaking of competition, this year the committee has re organized the timetable for entry to Show events, with earlier deadlines for entry to the Pavilion and some other events!
These changes have been made to streamline activities in the Show office and thereby make it an easier process for everyone concerned.
These new entry deadlines are outlined in the “Exhibitor’s Guide, Kangaroo Valley Show 2011”
The Show Society definitely don’t want anyone to miss out on the chance to enter their chosen competition so they urge you to carefully read the “Exhibitor’s Guide” (page 28) to make sure you are up to date with any changers that affect you.
The “Exhibitor’s Guide” can also be found in the Show Schedule, as a loose leaf page wherever the Schedule is available, online /show and on the community notice board outside the Post Office.
With regard to the Pavilion sections your entry form must be submitted to the Show office by Thursday 8pm.
However your actual exhibit, to be placed in the Pavilion, can still be brought in on Friday morning up until 9.45 am.
Very importantly art (including children’s art and china painting) and photography exhibits must be submitted by the entry deadlines outlined in the “Exhibitor’s Guide.”
Also described in the “Exhibitor’s Guide” are the various ways in which you can submit your entry forms - by post, fax, email, online (pavilion only) or in person at the show office.
This year special encouragement is being offered to children and young people of the Valley to exhibit in the Pavilion.
Those who enter a number of sections will have the chance to win one of the following great awards!

For the second year now young people with an interest in beef cattle have a chance to qualify to represent their region at the Royal Easter Show in the Beef Cattle Junior Judging Competition which will be held on Friday morning.
Please read the Schedule (page 25) for a full description of this event.
All the old Show favorites will be featured again this year on our program.
As well as the Talent Quest on Friday evening the Committee is also planning great musical entertainment on both evenings near the bar for your relaxation and enjoyment.
For your convenience it is possible to fill out your membership forms and pay your membership fees online this year at /show!! Just follow the links! You can also enter Pavilion Sections (5 – 15) online and check out the Show Schedule at this site too!

You can enter online for your chance to be a winner in the Pavilion.
You can also pay your membership and pick your Show Schedule up at the Post Office, The Red Shed, the Friendly Grocer, the Kangaroo Valley General Store and Newsagency and the Barrengarry Store as in previous years.
