View Club went to market
The Berry and KV Markets, particularly the latter, were the subject of Jane Richter's talk at our September luncheon and it was very interesting to hear a behind-the-scenes account of the establishment and running of the market.
Jane's account was extremely entertaining and we thank her very much.
We are changing the timing of the AGM and the election of our Committee from February to November, so hopefully over the next couple of months some of our members will consider standing for a position.
I don't know where the year has gone but we are rapidly coming up to Christmas again and by popular request we are having another of last year's very successful Pre-Christmas morning teas at Chris Ramsay's home on Tourist Road. Last year several people demonstrated their skills in handmade
Christmas decorations and floral arrangements, making it all look very easy and spurring many of us on to have a go ourselves.
Unusual Christmas recipes were also shared and created, with the results making a delicious morning tea.
To anyone who was unable to attend last year, may I suggest you mark your diaries with the date: Wednesday 18th November at 10:30 am. Our Christmas Lunch will be held on 11th December.
As usual we invite and welcome anyone who is interested to attend our meetings.
Please ring Margaret McLachlan, 4465 1946, for details.
