August 2011 - Kangaroo Valley Amateur Fishing Club
The Kangaroo Valley Amateur Fishing Club held its Annual General Meeting at the Friendly Inn, Kangaroo Valley on 12 July 2011.
The following members were elected to the Executive Committee: Gavin Fox (President), Harold Sharman (Vice President), Mark Collins (Secretary/Treasurer), John Rebbeck (Weigh master) with fund raising responsibilities to Vinnie Winch, John Smart and John Rebbeck.
The annual membership fee was retained at $40 ($5 for Juniors) and all were reminded that these fees are now due.
Our next safari will be held at Bendalong (30 Boronia Street) from Friday 9 to Sunday 11 September.
It is essential that those wishing to attend book in as early as possible. (no walk up starts).
We will again be contesting the “Jack Sharkie Shield” which we lost last year even though we thought we had done enough to win the shield back.
We scored more overall points than the Manyana Fishing Club but after taking into account the number of fishermen per boat, we lost.
We will need to review our tactics over dinner on Friday night.
We have also booked 73 Haiser Road, Greenwell Point for Friday 25 November until Monday 28 November.
Note that you can stay Sunday night and get an extra day fishing for the same normal weekend safari price.
