Church of the Good Shepherd

As a church one of our goals is to make positive contributions to Valley community life, big or small.

God says in the Bible that his followers are to be’ the aroma of Christ’ (2 Corinthians 2:15) wherever they are.

We hope to be and share that pleasant aroma of Jesus in Kangaroo Valley.

At our Sunday services we regularly pray for the people and businesses in our town.

As much as possible we use local businesses and tradespeople for the work that is regularly needed to be done around our site.

We encourage those in our services to be actively involved in KV community life.

We pray for KV people we know are sick and try to see them when we can to encourage them.

We also want toddlers and their parents and caregivers, kids and teens in the Valley to have a safe place to meet together and experience the aroma of Christ.

I don’t say this to blow the church’s trumpet - we have stuffed up like everyone else over the years in different ways and with relationships - but instead to let you know where we are coming from.

Above all, we hope that if you are searching for spiritual meaning in your life you will find followers of Jesus from the Church of the Good Shepherd approachable and gentle so that you can freely ask your searching questions about God and why Jesus died for you.

In other news, we hope you enjoy the garden we’ve put out the front of the church site!

We hope it lifts your day as you walk past or come in to visit.

Finally, if you have stories or pictures of your days at the Church of the Good Shepherd (or those from past family members) will you let us know?

Ring Andrew on 4465 1585.

We are putting together an exhibit of stories for our 140th anniversary in 2012.

Thanks and God bless you richly in Christ.
