September 2011

Volunteers from Bunnings came to our pre school to plant a beautiful garden for us to celebrate National Tree Day on Friday 29th July.

They tidied up the area outside the pre school near the back shed.

Instead of looking out over the septic tank to the old shed, we now look out the window and see a beautiful garden complete with bird bath, flower pots and stepping stones.

They brought face paints and we had a wonderful time becoming Butterfly Fairies, Tigers, Cats , and even Spiderman!

David Gazzard has kindly donated Gazanias from his garden to make our front garden lovely for spring.

Big thank yous to David and to Bunnings. With your generous help our pre school is growing more and more beautiful!

The children have been learning about keeping safe.

Holding hands with a grown up when they are out and about is important for their safety, especially near roads.

The children delighted in painting their parent’s hands to make a big hand print, then they painted their own hands to make a little

hand print on top to make “holding hands” posters.

Fund raiser:

Toy catalogues are available at pre school or at the post office.

The  Pre school receives 20% of the value of all orders in vouchers to spend at these toy companies.

If the orders we submit reach a set goal, we also receive extra toys. (Last year we received some lovely new puzzles and games, as well as being able to restock our art and craft supplies.)

Orders are due back at pre school by Friday September 16.
